Happy Easter!

Luke was old enough to enjoy Easter this year. The Easter bunny left a trail of eggs down the stairs to his basket. He wanted to pick each one up as we walked down.. but couldn't hold on to them all. It was fun to see him all excited to look in his basket and shake the eggs. Then he'd look at us and we'd ask what's in there? "I don't know!" he'd reply in his cute little high pitched voice. :) So, some had jelly beans and three big ones had trucks. So fun!
Then after church, we had lunch over at Mimi and Pepaw's.. and the kids got to find eggs in the backyard. Luke found a few.. but also wanted to put rocks in his basket. Next year baby Kate will get to find eggs! Only 3 more months til she's here!

Playing in the sand!

The other day after gymnastics, we went to willies ice house with friends from class. This was Luke's first time to play in the sand. I used to think, "I'll never let my kids play in there." But he was pretty clean about it.. I guess I was afraid he'd sit down in it and just be filthy.. but he just carefully played with his shovel and pail. Then some older kids came and were building sand castles and he just watched in awe. When they'd lift up the bucket to reveal the sand, he'd say "Ta da!" It was so cute.As you can see, he wore himself out... and there's not too much sand on his car seat. :)

Luke's 2nd Birthday!

To celebrate Luke's 2nd birthday, we had family over and Luke had such a fun day! He ate cookie cake, played outside on his playset.. and his most favorite present, a bubble mower from Uncle Matt and Aunt Halsey! He loves that thing!
Luke's actual birthday was on a Thursday, so we had a little playdate with Kyler and baby Camden. I made some cupcakes, which a few weeks ago he didn't care for, and now he loves them! I knew that wouldn't take long.

Rodeo

Over spring break, we spent a day at the rodeo petting zoo. Here's Luke with his cousins, James and Kyle.Luke and Aunt Lala petting some animals.
Of course Luke had to ride on a pony! So we waited in line patiently!

We got to pet all kinds of animals... here's a sweet little bunny. When Luke pets animals he says, "aww, nice" in such a sweet little voice.

I think sitting on this huge tractor was Luke's favorite part. There was a big flat screen in front of him with a video playing, so that it looked like he was driving through a field. He loved it!
While waiting for James to finish some carnival rides, Luke was pretty tired and cranky, so I got him an ice cream cone. It made him pretty happy. I think he was half asleep eating it.
