First Face Scrape!

Well, it finally happened. Luke has fallen while running plenty of times, however, he had his first face plant on the sidewalk yesterday. He cried at first, but as soon as I picked him up, he was fine. We had a popsicle and all was well again. Poor baby. It looks bad, but it's getting better already.
Had to include some pictures of our little golfer. He said "golf" pretty clearly the other day when he saw his golf clubs.

First trip to the zoo!

Luke had his first trip to the zoo yesterday! He wasn't as excited about the animals as I thought he would be, but he still had a fun day. He had fun riding in the wagon and playing at the park!

Each time we stopped, he loved getting out of the wagon, and climbing up on the rails. He was more excited about that than seeing the animals. Here he is with Brett and Kyler.
Here he is watching the Sea Lion show. It kept his attention for a little bit.

Having a snack and watching some monkeys!
I think this might have been his favorite stop, besides playing at the park. For some reason he liked walking sideways on this ledge. He was just laughing and smiling at everyone. I think he thought he was the show for a little bit. :)

And here's the park. He had fun making music on this little piano wall.
Exploring all of the equipment.

Fun on the slide! All by himself!
And to end our fun day, we all got a little treat.. Well, that ice cream cone wasn't little.. so we shared it.

You can tell by those red cheeks he was worn out. We hadn't even pulled out of the parking lot and he was already passed out in his car seat. What a fun day!

Fun day with Kyler!

Luke's buddy, Kyler, came over to play recently, and they had such a fun day! Luke always loves having a friend to run around with.

Most of the day was spent outside on the bouncer, but they also had fun playing inside. Here's a cute picture of them coloring together.
Fun outside on the bouncer!
My friend Ashley, Kyler's mom, told me that the first words out to Kyler's mouth the other morning were, "Luke's pool". So, apparently, he really likes coming and playing on this thing. How couldn't they though? So much fun!

Cruise and fun with Luke!

Crystal, Mandy and I went on a 4 night cruise last week to Cozumel.. and I missed Luke sooo much! It was fun, but too long. I had never been away from him so, I was so excited to see him. All week long I've just been wanting to enjoy my time home with my Lukie. The day after I came home Ashley and I took our boys to the Noah's Ark Splash Pad. They had a lot of fun.
Look at that face! I think he was a little shocked at how fast it was. I usually go down slides with him, but this one was small and everything was padded.. so he was happy to do it himself.

Luke and Kyler exploring the tunnel.
He loved just walking by himself in the water. Then he starting crawling on his tummy with his mouth and nose barely above the water. So cute! He was in a world of his own.. just having a blast.
Fun outside with Dada! As soon as Jared gets home, Luke wants to go outside with him and drive his truck. He looks at us and moves his hands like a steering wheel. It's another one of his favorite things right now.
Luke and I went to the Cole's Crossing park today. He had fun climbing on the equipment.. and then he saw this little tricycle motorcycle.. he really liked it. It had all kinds of buttons that made sounds. Maybe Santa will bring him that for Christmas.

Summer Fun!

Wow! It's been a few months since my last post! We've been keeping busy.. so here are a few pictures of things we've been doing this summer.

Luke loves brushing his teeth.. and he does it at least 3 times a day. He'll look at me and put his finger in his mouth, and then I ask him, "Luke wants to brush teeth?" and he gets a big smile and starts heading for my bathroom. Then he gets to push my vanity seat over to the sink and climb up to get his tooth brush. So much fun! He still doesn't really brush, he just likes to suck the toothpaste off.. and then put water on the brush and spit it out. Whatever makes him happy. :)
A few weeks ago we went to storytime at Barnes and Noble with some friends.. Luke sat through about 1 minute of the story and then we were off to the toy train set and books. He had a fun time there just seeing all of the other kids there. We found some truck books, so he sat for a little bit and had a snack while he looked at trucks.I had to share this photo. This is Luke's "cheese" face. It's pretty funny, we just say, "Luke, say cheese!" and he makes the funniest face. I think he likes the camera.Luke's buddies, Kyler and Grant came over to play on his bouncer.. plus we also had Caroline over too! She probably thinks these boys are crazy. Maybe one day we'll add some more girls to the group. Luke loves playing with the water hose... what boy doesn't?
Luke's cousin, Kylie, came by for a visit, and had a blast jumping around on the bouncer!
Popsicle time! Another favorite thing! Several times throughout the day, he'll go to the door to the garage and motion "more" with his hands, and I'll ask "Does Luke want a popsicle?" and of course a huge smile pops up. Most of the time he gets what he wants, unless it's time to eat... then he is not happy to hear "not right now". Hopefully once it gets cold he'll forget about them until next summer. :)

Just had to share this one too. Fun with spaghetti! Of course he loved making a mess with it!
