15 Month Portraits

I took Luke back to Portrait Innovations last week to get some new portraits made. I love that place. It's always so quick and easy, and you get your pictures within 15 minutes. He did really well as always.. he just didn't want to sit still. So we'd get him settled and then run back to make him smile before he got up again. It was fun though!

He looks like such a big boy now with his new haircut. He actually likes getting his hair cut now.. since we do it here at home now. He gets to sit in Daddy's sink and look at himself in the mirror, but mostly he just turns the water on and gets soaked. Whatever keeps him still!
We also took some together, so that Daddy could have a new picture of us on his desk.
He gave me a quick hug around the neck right before they took this one. That would have been really cute if they had caught it.. oh well, this one is cute too!I love this one too. They sat him on my back and he had fun bouncing on me real quick and then he took off. We had a fun time. Me and my little guy. I love him so much!

Summer Fun!

We have been having so much fun this summer. Thinking back to last year, when he was just a few months old.. we were so limited on things to do. So now, we are just having a blast each day. I feel so lucky and so very blessed to be able to stay home with Luke. I love that we get to just play every day. He is such a happy boy, and he makes my life happier than I could have ever imagined.
I have a few friends that also stay home, so we all get our boys together as much as we can. And now that it's summer, the pools are open! Boy, does Luke love the pool!

Here he is over at his buddy Kyler's 2nd birthday party. As soon as he saw the little pool outside he headed straight for it. Which was before he was even in his bathing suit yet.. and of course he dove right in it before I could stop him. So, I quickly got him changed.
Most of the other kids were just enjoying the water and playing with toys, and then Luke jumps in and starts splashing everyone. I liked how they just stared at him.. like, "Dude, calm down."

I know it looks like he is trying to bite that boy's leg, but he wasn't. He was just splashing around with his mouth open.. being the little boy that he is. However, we see this face pretty much every night when he is playing with Daddy. He gets so excited he just wants to bite something. It's funny until he gets a hold of your leg, hand, foot or whatever else he goes after. He's our little crocodile. We're trying not to encourage this behavior anymore.. but it's hard not to laugh. :)

And now he's had enough. Off to explore something else.

He stayed at the little sandbox long enough to take off with one of the shovels. Swiper, no swiping.

He was heading for Kyler's playset. He loves climbing the ladder. Once he gets up there, he just gets this really proud, excited look on his face. Such a cutie!

Here he is back at home, playing with Adelyn. He always loves having friends over!

My little water baby!
