Snow in Cypress!

I was so excited to see it snow today! I have been telling Luke that it might snow, and I even showed him some pictures of snow the other day. So then when I saw it today, I got him all excited and went outside, and told him it was snowing! And of course you could barely see it, and he was more concerned that his swing was wet, so we had to wipe that off so he could swing. Hopefully it will pile up some so he can really see it later.

You can see it on the roof of his playset. His bouncer was out in the yard, and we saw that it was collecting some bigger flakes.. so at least he got to see that.

Big Brother!

Luke is going to be a big brother! Luke made the announcement at Thanksgiving with this shirt that said, "I'm a BIG brother!"
We are all very excited. Luke is really interested with babies right now.. so hopefully he stays that way. We keep asking him if he wants a baby and he says, "yeah" or in his voice it's more like, "ah". He hasn't gotten the beginning of the word yet.
We had an ultrasound yesterday and baby is doing great. We got to hear the heartbeat too.. so all is well. Baby #2 is due 7/7/10. We're very excited and look forward to adding another member to the family!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great thanksgiving. We spent the first part of the day at Jared's parents' house with the Grein family, and then the evening with my family. We were all completely stuffed, but it was so good!
We took a few pictures with the Grein's, and then of course forgot to take any with my family. We'll definitely have to remember at Christmas.

Here's Luke with Jared, Per Per and Pepaw.. 4 generations.

New Playset!

Luke got an early Christmas present last month! It's been great, he love his new playset!
He likes for us to get him set up in his swing and push him, and then he points over to the other swing for us to sit in!

Trick or Treat!

Well, our little golfer had a fun time dressing up and holding his plastic pumpkin bucket, but he had no idea what it was all about. We were going to trick or treat down our street after visiting family, but after we saw that he didn't really get it, we just decided to pass on that this year. Next year will be different. But he did get to ring a few doorbells and hold out his pumpkin.. and he had fun with that. :)

Here he is getting his first look at himself. He thought the hat was pretty funny, and actually wore it a lot longer than we thought he would.
We didn't even bring his clubs with us, cause all he wanted to do was chew on them.

On our way out to trick or treat! Doesn't he look thrilled!
And to end the night, he got to eat a yummy happy meal at Grammy and Grandaddy's house! What a great day!

Just Hanging Out

Well, Luke has become quite the climber around the house.. and now his new thing is to hang from anything he can grip. It's pretty funny to watch. He is just learning so much from our mommy and me gymnastics class. He loves to hang from the bars and rings.. and it's just making his muscles so strong!

This was Luke's first time to eat a pear without me cutting it for him. He thought he was just Mr. Cool eating it this way. Guess I need to let my big boy eat like a big boy now.

Dewberry Farm and splashpad day of fun!

Last week, Luke and I went to Dewberry Farm with Ashley and her boys. Apparently it is only open to the public on weekends, but we were able to add our names on to a preschool class, so we got to go on a Thursday... when is was not so crowded. :)
They had a fun time playing around and exploring everything. It was just so hot and humid and muddy! Luke walked right into a big patch of muddy grass.. and froze. We both had mud all over our shoes and he didn't really like it. He kept trying to wipe it off.
Of course, the next day was gorgeous weather.. but oh well.. we had fun!

Here are some pics of our day:
I tried to get a picture of us on the train ride. He and Kyler were really excited to ride the train.. but we had to sit there for about 5 minutes before it started, so he was getting pretty impatient.

Fun on the slide! I think he wanted to go by himself, cause he would start kicking at me the closer we got to the bottom.. but it was pretty high up, not that he would care.. he's Mr. Fearless right now.

This bouncy thing was probably his favorite thing. He loves jumping! Gymnastics class has really helped his coordination. (I attached a video of him jumping at the end)
He didn't look too entertained by the horse that didn't move. Guess he didn't see that it was missing legs. Look at those red cheeks.. he played hard! And fell asleep quickly during the ride home. Unfortunately for me, he woke up right when we got home and didn't want to nap anymore.. so we needed to find something else to do so....
We went to the splash pad in the neighborhood! I figured it would be our last day to use it... and no one else was there, so he had it all to himself!
At first he just ran around the outside of all the water, until I ran through it with him.

Then we had to go play on the slides. Someone had put a bunch of the playground mulch right by the slide, so of course he had to check that out, and throw that down the slide.

What a full day of fun! I love my little man.

First Face Scrape!

Well, it finally happened. Luke has fallen while running plenty of times, however, he had his first face plant on the sidewalk yesterday. He cried at first, but as soon as I picked him up, he was fine. We had a popsicle and all was well again. Poor baby. It looks bad, but it's getting better already.
Had to include some pictures of our little golfer. He said "golf" pretty clearly the other day when he saw his golf clubs.

First trip to the zoo!

Luke had his first trip to the zoo yesterday! He wasn't as excited about the animals as I thought he would be, but he still had a fun day. He had fun riding in the wagon and playing at the park!

Each time we stopped, he loved getting out of the wagon, and climbing up on the rails. He was more excited about that than seeing the animals. Here he is with Brett and Kyler.
Here he is watching the Sea Lion show. It kept his attention for a little bit.

Having a snack and watching some monkeys!
I think this might have been his favorite stop, besides playing at the park. For some reason he liked walking sideways on this ledge. He was just laughing and smiling at everyone. I think he thought he was the show for a little bit. :)

And here's the park. He had fun making music on this little piano wall.
Exploring all of the equipment.

Fun on the slide! All by himself!
And to end our fun day, we all got a little treat.. Well, that ice cream cone wasn't little.. so we shared it.

You can tell by those red cheeks he was worn out. We hadn't even pulled out of the parking lot and he was already passed out in his car seat. What a fun day!
