Fun at the lake!
We spent Memorial Day weekend up at the lake. Luke was very excited to ride on the boat. He hadn't been on it since last summer.. which I'm sure he doesn't even remember. I stayed back at the lake house, but was happy to see a few pictures of Luke having fun... and keeping his life jacket on!
Even though I couldn't go for any boat rides, I was at least able to hang out on the dock while all of the kids played in the water. Luke was having so much fun jumping off the boat... as long as Dada was there to catch him. He jumped off the dock too... over and over til Dada had to take a break. :)
Here's Luke and Dada with his cousin Kyle and Uncle Dan.
Luke was so curious about James' game he was playing. I just had to get a picture of him just practically laying on top of James to check it out. He loves his cousin James!

Happy Easter!
Luke was old enough to enjoy Easter this year. The Easter bunny left a trail of eggs down the stairs to his basket. He wanted to pick each one up as we walked down.. but couldn't hold on to them all.
It was fun to see him all excited to look in his basket and shake the eggs. Then he'd look at us and we'd ask what's in there? "I don't know!" he'd reply in his cute little high pitched voice. :) So, some had jelly beans and three big ones had trucks. So fun!
Playing in the sand!
The other day after gymnastics, we went to willies ice house with friends from class. This was Luke's first time to play in the sand. I used to think, "I'll never let my kids play in there." But he was pretty clean about it.. I guess I was afraid he'd sit down in it and just be filthy.. but he just carefully played with his shovel and pail. Then some older kids came and were building sand castles and he just watched in awe. When they'd lift up the bucket to reveal the sand, he'd say "Ta da!" It was so cute.
As you can see, he wore himself out... and there's not too much sand on his car seat. :)
Luke's 2nd Birthday!
To celebrate Luke's 2nd birthday, we had family over and Luke had such a fun day! He ate cookie cake, played outside on his playset.. and his most favorite present, a bubble mower from Uncle Matt and Aunt Halsey! He loves that thing!
Rodeo
Over spring break, we spent a day at the rodeo petting zoo. Here's Luke with his cousins, James and Kyle.
Luke and Aunt Lala petting some animals.

We got to pet all kinds of animals... here's a sweet little bunny. When Luke pets animals he says, "aww, nice" in such a sweet little voice.

I think sitting on this huge tractor was Luke's favorite part. There was a big flat screen in front of him with a video playing, so that it looked like he was driving through a field. He loved it!
While waiting for James to finish some carnival rides, Luke was pretty tired and cranky, so I got him an ice cream cone. It made him pretty happy. I think he was half asleep eating it.
